17 Random Things About Me:
- My grandma gave me a cup of mango tea when I was a kid. Boom. That was it. Tea drinker.
- I like symmetry and odd numbers. I don’t know what that means about me, if anything, from a psychological standpoint.
- My moon sign is Scorpio, which explains a few things about me. (My sun sign is Gemini, which also may explain a few things about me. Namely that I take a lot of offense at being called “two-faced.”)
- The only word I can come up with to describe my ideal sweater is “schlumpy.”
- Anita Diamant’s The Red Tent is my favorite book ever, and I recommend it to pretty much everyone.
- I have not been courageous enough to watch the Lifetime adaptation of The Red Tent.
- The only thing I am hardcore about is how NOT-hardcore I am.
- I love family-style restaurants.
- When I travel somewhere new, I like to go to a zoo and to a cemetery. (If you need directions to find the “I TOLD YOU I WAS SICK” headstone in the Key West Cemetery, I’m the person to ask!!!)
- At one point I was pursuing a Master’s degree in finance. (That’s a story for another time.)
- I love rivers.
- My Girl Scout cookie of choice is the Tagalong, but I do very much like Samoas and Thin Mints, too. Also, cookies aside, Girl Scouts are freaking amazing.
- I love bears! They are my favorite land animal. My favorite marine animal is the manatee. I love manatees!
- I don’t drink nearly as many dirty chais as I would like.
- I was going to type something here about my favorite ABBA song… but I don’t have a favorite ABBA song, it turns out. (ABBA happens to be my favorite music group of all time)
- For some reason I cannot really explain, I knew the words to the Canadian national anthem before I knew my own country’s. I have memories of being 3 or 4 and singing “O, Canada.”
- I picked 17 because I like prime numbers, too.
